Lin Christie

Weaver of Fantasies, Spinner of Dreams

Welcome, traveler. Welcome to my home. Come in. Take the chair by the fire. It’s cozy and there you can rest your weary bones. You’ve had a hard journey in such cold and damp. Surely you’re in need of sustenance and a respite. A bowl of stew for you, wanderer. And some bread. Here, let me fluff that pillow for your head. Would you like a blanket? A coffee? Something stronger? Relax and let the warmth caress you. Close your eyes. While you sit idly by, I shall tell you a story, sing you a song, regale you with tales of the sprites and spirits, of the faerie folk and of the dispossessed. Be careful of the fire, dearie. Too close and it bites. Once it tastes flesh, this flame can devour.

Shadow Life

Coming Soon From Anatolian Press

Ferris Goodman is a man whose life is going nowhere fast. That’s because it’s already over. For all intents and purposes, it ended eighteen months ago in a motorcycle accident, which also took from him the love of his life, his fiancé Shelley. He did, however, land an interesting job as a result of his brush with death.

Ferris works as a Guide for the Department of Departure Management. He and all his coworkers live in the Shadow: not quite living, but not quite dead. The employees in his department help guide their clients to choose where they want to spend the afterlife.

Yet Ferris is becoming increasingly uneasy with the way his own afterlife is going. The edges are starting to fray. The stitches are starting to pull. And he’s going to have to learn how to live with the past in order to become whole again.
